![]() Jesus went on to say, “He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Jesus also said, “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Let’s taste of the “bread of life” daily. Job cried, “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food” (Job 23:12). Jeremiah said, “Your words were found and I ate them” (Jeremiah 15:16). Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). As seen in the context, this applies to a steady diet of God’s Word. Peter said, “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious” (1 Peter 2:2-3). The Psalmist said, “Taste and see that the LORD is good” (Psalms 34:8). As Israel ate manna daily for their sustenance, so we must partake of Jesus daily. We could as easily live without bread than without Jesus. We cannot survive spiritually without Jesus. Jesus sustains us spiritually in all wilderness experiences in life. Manna sustained their physical life while in the wilderness. He said this in the context of speaking about the manna God gave Israel in the wilderness. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15) "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" (1 Corinthians 9:16) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.I Am the Bread of Life (John 6:35, 48, 51) "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" (Matthew 28:19) "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" (2 Timothy 3:16) Be baptized, worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority on everything. ![]() "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." (Matthew 21:22) "Be careful for nothing but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God." (Philippians 4:6) "However, they did not all heed the good news for Isaiah says, 'LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?' 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17) "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing (aligning and applying) the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15) "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." (Psalms 119:105) If you encounter questions, resolve them by asking someone at your church to help you with them. Read the Holy Bible, the guide and tool to kindness and the right path to eternal life. Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better. If you have received Jesus Christ as your Savior, as a Christian you should:."But as many as received him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:" (John 1:12) "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away behold, all things are become new". I now invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior. I am willing to change and turn from my sin. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. Dear God, I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)."For with the heart (core being) man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10).Through prayer, invite Jesus into your heart to become your personal Lord and Savior.Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead. ![]()
